Experience the fabulous Florida Nature that is Flagler County. Flagler County, Florida is a beach lover's delight with 19 miles of untouched Florida beaches, perfect for surfing the third largest waves in Flagler Beach, fishing from the surf, beachcombing, swimming or just soaking up the sun. Flagler Beach is pet friendy and allows dogs on the beach north of N. 10th Street and south of S. 10th Street on LEASH only.
Beach Tips:
• Provide adequate supervision for children. Children can get lost quickly on a crowded beach so you should always keep them within arm’s reach.
• Park your blankets next to a lifeguard
• Don’t use a flotation toy as a safety device. Take the floaties, noodles and rafts, but be aware that they are not life-saving devices.
• Know the signs and behavior of rip currents. Rip currents (sometimes called rip tides or undertows) pull objects out to sea, not under.
• Use sunblock faithfully. You might be going to the beach for a tan, but do not underestimate the sun’s power.
• Drink water and take breaks.
A trip to the beach can be physically exhausting, even if you only intend to bake in the sun. Take note of the above tips and enjoy Flagler Beach.
